How does real-time co-editing work?
Multiple people can edit the same note at once and see updates live.
Updated 2026-08-13
Open a note that others also have open, and you'll see their edits and cursor as they type — like a shared document, without saving or merge conflicts.
Steps
- Open a note that other teammates have access to.
- Start typing — your changes save and sync automatically.
- If someone else opens the same note, you'll see their presence indicator and their edits appear live as they make them.
Tips
- There's no separate "share" step — anyone with access to the note (based on group membership) can co-edit it the moment they open it.
- Because edits merge live, there's nothing to reconcile afterwards — you don't need to worry about conflicting versions like you might with an emailed document.
