Calls

Audio and video from any channel or DM, with AI summaries when you hang up.

What controls are available during a call?

Mute your mic, turn the camera on or off, share your screen, and leave — the controls stay available for the length of the call.

During a call you can mute, toggle your camera, share your screen, open chat or captions, and leave. The control bar stays on the call screen until you hang up.

Mute, camera, and leave

  1. Join or start the call.
  2. Tap the microphone control to mute or unmute. A muted mic shows as off so others can see you're silent.
  3. Tap the camera control to turn video on or off. Turning the camera off keeps you on audio.
  4. Tap the red leave (phone down) control when you're done. That disconnects you from the room.

If you minimise the call, a small indicator still shows elapsed time, a way back into the call, and a hang-up button.

Other controls you may see

iOS only: Flip camera is available on iPhone. Incoming calls answered from the system phone UI use the same in-app controls once you're connected.
