How do groups work?

Groups organize channels, notes, and access for teams inside a workspace.

Groups are how FabricLoop organizes channels, notes, tasks, and news — a real team (Marketing) or a project (Q3 Launch) can each be a group.

Create a group

Open Settings → Manage Groups (labeled Groups on the web).
Tap + (or type a name in New Group on the web) and enter a group name.
Optionally turn on Private. Private groups are only visible to the people you add, and they aren’t available on the free plan.
On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, you can also mark a public group Default for new members so everyone already in the workspace joins immediately and future joiners are added automatically.
Tap Create (or Add new).

Open the same Manage Groups list.
Tap the people control on a group (avatars, or Add on a private group on the web).
Select who should belong. For private groups, only those people can see the group.
Owners and admins can swipe to delete a group (or tap Remove on the web). Editors can still create and rename groups they can see, but they cannot delete them.

Filter tasks, notes, and news by group when you want to focus on one team or project.
A person can belong to many groups. Access to a note follows the group the note lives in — see Who can edit a note?.
Public groups show a #; private groups show a lock.
