If an app or AI agent is available in a channel, you talk to it exactly like you'd talk to a person — type @, pick it, and ask in plain language.

Steps

In the message box, type @ to open the mention list.
Select the app or agent you want to talk to.
Finish your message describing what you want, and send.
The app or agent replies in a thread on your message, so the rest of the channel keeps its normal flow.

Only the mentioned agent starts. The conversation is linked into its prompt so it has the thread context.

Tips

There are no slash commands to memorize — everything is conversational.
An app or agent has to be installed or homed in that channel before it shows up in the mention list. See installing a channel app or adding an agent.
Anyone in the channel can see and continue the conversation in the thread — it's not private to whoever started it.
Open Apps and Agents from the channel header to see what is already bound there, including agents waiting on a question.
