How do I message an app or agent in a channel?

Talk to apps and AI agents in the channel — they reply in the thread, no slash commands.

If an app or AI agent is available in a channel, you talk to it exactly like you'd talk to a person — type @, pick it, and ask in plain language.

Steps

1. In the message box, type @ to open the mention list.
2. Select the app or agent you want to talk to.
3. Finish your message describing what you want, and send.
4. The app or agent replies in a thread on your message, so the rest of the channel keeps its normal flow.

Tips

• There are no slash commands to memorise — everything is conversational.
• An app or agent has to be installed/enabled in that channel before it shows up in the mention list; see installing a channel app.
• Anyone in the channel can see and continue the conversation with the app in the thread — it's not private to whoever started it.
