When do I get notified about tasks?
FabricLoop can alert you for assignments, due dates, and comments.
Updated 2026-08-13
You're notified when you're assigned a task, when one you own is approaching or past its due date, and when someone comments on a task you're involved in.
What triggers a notification
- Assignment — you're notified the moment a task is assigned to you.
- Due dates — reminders as a due date approaches, and a flag if a task becomes overdue.
- Comments — new comments on a task you're assigned to or following.
Managing task notifications
Open Settings → Notifications to control whether these arrive by push, email, or both. These preferences are shared with your general notification settings — see notification preferences for the full picture.
Tips
- Reassigning a task away from you stops future assignment-based notifications for it, but you may still get comment notifications if you keep participating.
- If task notifications feel noisy, check whether you're following tasks you no longer need to track and remove yourself where possible.
