How do I search across FabricLoop?

Open Search, type a query, and FabricLoop looks across messages, tasks, notes, news, people, and files.

Open Search and type what you remember. One query looks across messages, tasks, notes, news, people, and files — you don't have to guess which surface it's on.

Search

1. Open Search. In the app, tap the magnifying glass in the toolbar. On the web, open Search in the navigation (or go to /search).
2. Type a query in Search everything. Results start updating as you type; press return or the send control to run it immediately.
3. Browse the grouped results, or tap a type chip (All, Task, Message, Note, News, Person, and others) to focus.
4. Tap a result to open it — a message in its conversation, a task, a note, a news story, a person, or a file.

When you haven't typed anything yet, you'll see recent searches (and saved searches in the app). Pick one to run it again.

What shows up

Typical result types:

• Messages — chat in channels and DMs
• Tasks — titles and task content
• Notes — documents
• News — announcements
• People — teammates
• Files — attachments, including text extracted from supported files

The native apps can also return comments, calls, and channels. The web chips highlight tasks, news, notes, people, and messages; other types still appear in All when the search finds them.

Tips

• If nothing matches, try a different keyword. When FabricLoop has a spelling suggestion, tap Did you mean.
• On the free plan, older messages may fall outside the 90-day history window and won't appear.
• After results load, an AI summary can appear above the list so you don't have to open every hit.
