How do I message an AI agent in a channel?

Mention or message an agent in any channel and it replies in the thread.

Talk to an agent the same way you talk to a teammate — type @, pick the agent, and write in plain language. It replies in the thread, with no slash commands to learn.

Mention the agent

1. Open the channel or DM where the agent is available (for example Loop Agent, or an agent your workspace has added).
2. In the message box, type @ to open the mention list.
3. Select the agent, finish your request, and send.

Read the reply in the thread

1. Open the thread on your message — the agent posts its reply there, not as a new top-level message.
2. Continue in that thread if you want a follow-up. Everyone in the channel can see and join the conversation.

Tips

• There are no /bot commands. If an agent does not appear in @, it is not installed or scoped to that channel yet — see What is Loop Agent? or How do I install a channel app?.
• You can also message an installed app the same way.
