How do I connect MCP tools like Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT?

Connect MCP so external AI tools can read and write notes, tasks, and news in your workspace.

FabricLoop is an MCP server for tools like Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT. After you connect, those tools can create tasks, comments, and more using *your* FabricLoop permissions.

This is the inbound connection (external AI → FabricLoop). To connect third-party apps *into* FabricLoop as an MCP client, see How do I set up an MCP app?.

Add the MCP endpoint

1. In FabricLoop, open Settings → AI / MCP (Cursor, Claude, GPT).
2. Copy the MCP URL shown under Endpoint (https://api.fabricloop.com/functions/v1/fabricloop-mcp).
3. In Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT, add that URL as an MCP server or custom connector.

Approve access

1. Sign in when the consent page opens (https://app.fabricloop.com/oauth/consent).
2. Pick the workspace this client should use.
3. Approve the tools you want to grant. The client can only act in that workspace, with the scopes you selected.

Manage connected clients

1. Return to Settings → AI / MCP.
2. Under Connected clients, confirm the tool appears, with the scopes you approved.
3. Tap Revoke on a client anytime to disconnect it immediately.

To switch workspaces later, reconnect and approve again.

Tips

• Do not share one person's access token across the team — each person should complete their own consent.
• Grants are visible and revocable. If a setting is missing, you may need an owner or admin to allow the connector in your organisation.
