How do task labels work?

Pick a Type, add Labels, and see them on the card. Owners and admins manage the names.

Updated 2026-10-08

Each task can take one Type and any number of Labels. The names show as capsules on the Kanban card.

Choose them on a task

  1. Open the task.
  2. In Structure, open Type and pick one name, or None. A task has one Type.
  3. Under Labels, tap Add and pick a name. You can add more than one.
  4. Tap × on a label to remove it from this task.

Labels only appears after an owner or admin has added at least one name. Type starts with Enhancement, Bug, and Epic.

Manage the lists

  1. Open Settings → Task Settings. This screen is for owners and admins.
  2. Under Type or Labels, type a name, pick a colour, and add it.
  3. Tap a name to rename it.
  4. Delete the name. On iPhone and iPad, swipe left on it. FabricLoop removes that name from every task that used it.

Tips

  • Colours are red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink, and grey.
  • Two names in the same list cannot match, even if the capitalisation differs.
  • Priority is a separate control. It is not a label.
