How does FabricLoop billing work?

You pay for active members on a fair, usage-aligned model processed securely by Stripe.

Updated 2026-08-13

FabricLoop charges workspaces based on the number of active members during each billing cycle, with payments processed securely by Stripe.

How billing works

  1. Your workspace is on Free, Standard, or Enterprise.
  2. On paid plans, you are billed for members who are actively using FabricLoop — not for unused seats that sit idle.
  3. Stripe securely processes cards, invoices, and receipts, all managed from your workspace billing settings.

Who counts as an active member?

An active member is anyone who performs an action in your workspace within a rolling activity window (about 30 days). Actions include opening the app, creating or editing work, commenting, uploading files, or viewing updates.

If someone has not used FabricLoop in that window, they are treated as inactive and are not counted toward your paid seat total — no manual cleanup required.

Adding and removing people

  1. Invite members by email or share a join link.
  2. When they become active, they count towards billing (prorated when they join mid-cycle).
  3. When someone leaves or becomes inactive, credits apply automatically on the next invoice.

Payment options

Managing your subscription

Owners and admins can upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and annual billing, or cancel from the billing settings. Timing depends on the change — some apply immediately, others at period end.

Why fair billing matters

Traditional tools charge for every invited seat, even if people never log in. FabricLoop aligns cost with real usage: pay for active contributors, get automatic proration and credits, and scale without wasting money on unused seats.
