How do I scan a document into a note?

On iPhone, scan paper into your note so physical docs join the rest of your work.

Updated 2026-08-13 · iOS only

On iPhone, FabricLoop can scan a physical page with your camera and insert it straight into a note — no separate scanning app needed.

iOS only: Document scanning uses your iPhone's camera and isn't available on iPad, Mac, Windows, Android, or web today.

Steps

  1. Open the note on your iPhone and place your cursor where the scan should go.
  2. Tap the attachment option and choose Scan document.
  3. Point your camera at the page — FabricLoop detects the edges and captures it automatically, or you can capture manually.
  4. Scan additional pages if needed, then confirm. The scan is cleaned up and inserted into the note as an image attachment.
