Connect Cursor to FabricLoop

You need a FabricLoop account and Cursor with MCP support. Copy the endpoint from Settings → AI / MCP, or use the URL below.

Add FabricLoop in Cursor. Then approve access.

Open Cursor MCP settings
In Cursor, open Settings → MCP (or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json for a global server, or project .cursor/mcp.json for one repo).

Add the FabricLoop server URL
Add a remote server entry pointing at https://api.fabricloop.com/functions/v1/fabricloop-mcp. Save the file or confirm in the UI.

Approve OAuth
When Cursor prompts, sign in at app.fabricloop.com, pick the workspace, and approve the tools you want.

Confirm tools appear
In an agent chat, FabricLoop tools should list (tasks, messages, news, and more). If not, reload MCP servers and check Connected clients in FabricLoop.

Paste a prompt. Watch it land in FabricLoop.
These work once the connector shows FabricLoop tools. Name the group or person when you can.

Sees what you see
Only groups and content your FabricLoop user can already access.

Project vs global config
A project mcp.json applies to that repo; a user-level config applies everywhere in Cursor.

Revoke anytime
Settings → AI / MCP → Revoke on the Cursor client.
Troubleshooting
If tools do not show up. Check these first.

Tools missing
Reload MCP in Cursor, confirm the URL has no trailing typo, and finish OAuth again.

Auth loop
Revoke the client in FabricLoop, clear the stale entry in Cursor, then reconnect.

Wrong workspace
Reconnect and pick the correct workspace on the consent screen.

Admin approval
If connect is blocked, ask a workspace owner or admin to allow MCP connectors.
