How do I connect a third-party tool?
Use OAuth or the vendor’s setup steps from the app detail screen.
Updated 2026-08-13
Connect from the app detail screen. Most tools use OAuth (a browser sign-in). Some also need vendor setup steps from the in-app guide before Connect will succeed.
Connect with OAuth
- Open the app from Settings → Apps, AI Hub → Apps, or a channel’s Apps & Agents sheet.
- If MCP is not enabled yet, ask an admin to tap Enable for workspace.
- Read the Setup guide and open Vendor docs if the checklist says org setup is still needed.
- Tap Connect account. Sign in with the vendor, approve access, and return to FabricLoop.
You will sign in with the vendor, then return here automatically. Mentions and DMs then use your connected account.
If Connect fails or expires
- Confirm you finished the vendor’s org or install steps (API keys, workspace install, and similar).
- Tap Reconnect account if the app shows Reconnect required — your previous login expired or was revoked.
- Use Vendor docs from the setup guide for that app’s current requirements.
Reconnect refreshes *your* permissions without disabling the app for others.
Tips
- Direct (channel) apps open Connect when you add them to a channel. MCP apps connect once per person for the workspace.
- Some catalog apps use no extra login after an admin enables them; those finish connect silently.
- To disconnect later, see How do I remove an app?.
