What can FabricLoop MCP do?

FabricLoop MCP tools for Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT: messaging, tasks, notes, news, events, comments, attachments, and workspace search.

Once Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP client is connected, it can read and write the same workspace surfaces you already use — scoped to the groups and permissions of the account that approved the connection.

Messaging

List your chats (DMs and groups) and read recent messages
Send a message to a person or group (including threaded replies)
Schedule a message, reschedule it, send it now, or cancel it
Save and edit drafts before anything is posted

Tasks

Find tasks by title, assignee, due date, section, or open vs done
Create tasks (owners, due dates, sections)
Update a task — title, body, assignees, due date, mark done / reopen, move columns
Comment on a task; edit or delete those comments
Attach a file to a task (upload flow, max 50MB)
List task attachments and get a short-lived download URL
Extract text from a PDF or text attachment

Notes

Find notes by title and open them
Create and edit notes (including drafting a body from workspace context)
Comment on a note (including block-scoped comments when relevant)

News and events

Create and edit news posts for groups you can access
Add an event start and end time on a news post (calendar-style announcements)
Comment on a news post
List attachments already on a news item and open them via a signed URL

Comments

Read comments on a task, note, or news post
Create, edit, or soft-delete comments (with @mentions when you name people)

Search

Workspace search — semantic search across tasks, notes, and news (not chat messages)
People lookup — find a teammate by name before assigning or DMing
Chat lookup — find a DM or group chat by participant name, then read messages
Web search — public web research when the client grants it (separate from workspace search)

Groups and workspace

List groups and create or edit a group when your role allows it
List workspaces you belong to (does not switch the active connection)

Attachments and files (what works today)

Upload to a task via the attachment tools, then complete the upload
List / download files on a task or news item
Read text from PDF or text files; use a signed URL for images and video
Note media lives inside the note body (edit the note) — there is no separate "upload image to note" tool
MCP does not currently expose a dedicated "upload a new image onto a news post" tool — create the post in text (and event times), then add media in the FabricLoop app if you need images on news

What the client cannot do

Act outside the workspace you approved on the consent screen
See groups or content your account cannot already see
Search chat history through workspace search (use chat list + get messages instead)
Keep access after you revoke the client in Settings → AI / MCP

Exact tool names and fields can change as the server evolves. If a prompt fails, check that the client still shows FabricLoop tools enabled, then retry with a clearer group, person, or task name.
