What you can ask Notion

Ask in plain language, with no slash commands. Notion replies in the thread so the whole team sees the result.

These are examples of the kind of request to try. What Notion can do depends on your Notion account and permissions.

How to chat with Notion in a channel

  1. Enable it for the workspace. An admin or owner opens the Apps tab, switches to MCP, finds Notion and enables it.
  2. Connect your account. Each person signs in to Notion once. FabricLoop acts as you, using your permissions.
  3. Message it directly. Select Notion in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel.
  4. Or mention it in any channel. Type @, pick Notion and describe what you want. It replies in the thread on your message, so everyone in the channel can see it, and you can keep going there for follow-ups.

Notion integration FAQ

What is the Notion MCP server URL?

The Notion MCP server is at https://mcp.notion.com/mcp. FabricLoop connects to it for you when an admin enables Notion, so you do not paste the URL anywhere.

How do I use Notion in FabricLoop?

An admin enables Notion from the Apps tab under MCP and each person connects their own Notion account. Then select Notion in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel, or type @ in any channel, pick Notion and ask in plain language. In a channel it replies in the thread.

Who can see what Notion returns?

Notion replies in the channel thread, so everyone in that channel sees the answer. It uses the connecting person's Notion permissions, and the connection does not expand anyone's membership in FabricLoop.
