What you can ask Fireflies

Ask in plain language, with no slash commands. Fireflies replies in the thread so the whole team sees the result.

These are examples of the kind of request to try. What Fireflies can do depends on your Fireflies account and permissions.

How to chat with Fireflies in a channel

  1. Enable it for the workspace. An admin or owner opens the Apps tab, switches to MCP, finds Fireflies and enables it.
  2. Connect your account. Each person signs in to Fireflies once. FabricLoop acts as you, using your permissions.
  3. Message it directly. Select Fireflies in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel.
  4. Or mention it in any channel. Type @, pick Fireflies and describe what you want. It replies in the thread on your message, so everyone in the channel can see it, and you can keep going there for follow-ups.

Read more in the help centre: talk to an installed app, the MCP catalog and installing a channel app.

Fireflies integration FAQ

What is the Fireflies MCP server URL?

The Fireflies MCP server is at https://api.fireflies.ai/mcp. FabricLoop connects to it for you when an admin enables Fireflies, so you do not paste the URL anywhere.

How do I use Fireflies in FabricLoop?

An admin enables Fireflies from the Apps tab under MCP and each person connects their own Fireflies account. Then select Fireflies in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel, or type @ in any channel, pick Fireflies and ask in plain language. In a channel it replies in the thread.

Who can see what Fireflies returns?

Fireflies replies in the channel thread, so everyone in that channel sees the answer. It uses the connecting person's Fireflies permissions, and the connection does not expand anyone's membership in FabricLoop.
